Green Apple Award for Stannah
Split recycling bins were purchased for each of the areas where waste was being created, with dry mixed recycling one side and food waste recycling the other. Stannah worked with the Pabulum purchasing team to source a more sustainable option for takeaway food containers. Foil lined bags were also exchanged for paper plates on the breakfast trolley to improve recyclability.
Training and engagement was an important part of the project. The Stannah team worked with Pabulum’s staff in the restaurant so everyone fully understood both the motives behind the project and how to operate within the new system.
