Best of British at Bethany and Rickmansworth

A huge Pabulum shout out to the teams at Rickmansworth School and Bethany School who have both worked hard to ensure they celebrated St George’s Day and the Queen’s Birthday in style.

The team dressed in St Georges aprons As well as enjoying a St George’s Day themed lunch, pupils at Bethany also relished a themed supper for those who board and a special canapé event to celebrate the Patron Saint of England. These celebrations also tied in with the Queen’s Birthday for a truly British feel.

The team at Rickmansworth School went on their own crusade to ensure the school enjoyed the best St George’s day lunch ever. The catering team even wore aprons adorned with the St George’s flag, earning them a knighthood from Colin Wills, Operations Manager.

Chef Manager, Nerissa Buckley told us “I ensured the pupils were involved by taking plastic white aprons over to the art department and getting them to paint giant St George's crosses on them. This was done as part of a Year Nine lesson and the catering team all wore them for lunch service. We put pictures of the Queen all over the dining room and hung flags and bunting up for decoration. The pupils really enjoyed it.”
